Any alcoholic beverage with an ABV level that classifies it as a wine or spirit does not need to carry an expiry date.

The reason for this is that bacteria cannot survive in conditions with high alcohol levels. The liquid will not 'go off' or expire.

Some wines (eg. Chateau d'Yquem Sauternes 1885) are not considered at their best until they have aged in bottle for decades, or even centuries. And some spirits (eg. Richard Hennessy Cognac) are made from blends of brandies dating back to the early 1800s!

Shelf Life Of Gin

Well, I have heard of people opening 50 year old bottles of gin, and it still being good. I think it would basically last forever, since alcohol does not spoil, and gin usually has a lot of it. After a couple thousand years some of the sugar might crystalize or something.

No. If the bottle is left opened or with a loose fitting cap the alcohol will slowly evaporate affecting the quality, but not the safety of it. Once bottled liquor such as gin or whiskey are quite stable and will not go bad as long as it is sealed tightly.

Beer will go bad, so will Gin, but Gin will last a bloody long time before it expires.

Liquor does not go bad, if the bottle is sealed, if left open the alcohol will eventually evaporate. Beer usually goes skunky, but wine and Liquor can last a long time if stored properly.
