You are not the only one that this happens to. Every women has that one gay Friend that they wish were straight. they seem to be the only man on the planet that understands you, makes you laugh, and respects you. "The Best Friend". That is what every female wants from a male partner. And because your male friend does everything that you need it is only because he is gay and wants the same thing out of men. It will only get better. You have found what can be the best friendship of your life. treasure it and keep it fro what it is, friendship.

I don't see where the question is. He's gay, you're a woman, he is not interested in a relationship with a woman (unless it's purely platonic) so find a heterosexual man and be friends with the gay guy. How can you be in love with someone that doesn't love you back. It sounds like you're attracted to him which is understandable, but love? By the way, don't get into the "I can change him" mode, you can't so don't waste your time.

find another guy. I think every woman gets a crush on one gay guy or another at some point. They are so much fun!! I know that is a generalization, but it's true.
Try to move on there is no hope. You can't change him.

I have many Gay friends, and I have at times wished a few of them we not gay.....but unless you find a bisexual that you like it is hopeless.
Then you have to also live with his being bisexual......something that can be odd around the family dinner table on Thanksgiving.
