all color shampoo does is enhance color or make the color last longer. since your hair is black it won't have any effect on it

If it's just color shampoo it shouldn't damage your hair as it isn't stripping it (like a peroxide or similar hair color-the stuff in a box)....so you can still use it...As you have black hair it may not make a noticable difference BUT I have a good friend with black hair (she's asian) and she used to use one of the red tinted shampoos (and the conditioner...she said the conditioner made the most difference) and over time the color deposits became more noticeable and I believe, stained her hair a little bit- it didn't make her hair red but when the light hit it a certain way it had a beautiful red cast.... In college I had a friend with black hair who used to acheive the same results using koolaid powder (make sure it doesn't have sugar in it...the little packets not the tubs of powder)...but careful- that stuff can stain just about anything- skin, tile, tubs.....

Since the body can have adverse affects to random chemicals, i would say it is possible that a shampoo could cause an uncommon change in hair color.

Nope, colour shampoos are for dyed/highlighted hair. It's so that the colour doesn't fade. If you use it even if your hair is in a natural colour, it wont do anything
