READ THIS BEFORE YOU POST! I'VE SEEN MANY QUESTIONS WHERE PEOPLE FORGET TO (thanks).

In this question someone asked why god rested? About half or more of the responses was that we are weak humans and need rest, but why would god make us so shitty as to need rest at all--especially when we are made in his image?

The second question is, what did god do on the 8th day (or first day of the following week)? Should we take a break the next day or what?

And if you believe that 1 day is a 1000 years to god, does that mean that I should stop working for 1000 years if I worked 6000 years? <-- The point of this question is to show how illogical it is that he did it to "set and example for us."

1st. God was setting a example to man to work 6 out of the 7 days in a week. on the seventh and final day God designed it to be a day of rest so man could sit back re-coupe and see what God has done. We are made with the ability to think unlike all of the other creatures that is what it means by made in His image.

2nd. The bible doesn't say exactly what God did on the 8th day after all if it stated everything that happened exactly the book could fill a whole library by itself. So no we shouldn't. I speculate that God taught Adam what to do on the 8th day.

3rd. One day is like a thousand years to God. But that doesn't mean he doesn't understand our time. So when God created the universe in 7 days it was really seven days. The Scripture which states that 1 day is like a 1000 years is just to show us just how much more God is than us. He was, is and will be.

I hope that helps you out if have anymore questions you can e-mail me if you wish at hawkrisesagain@yahoo.com

To God 1000 years is as a day and a day as 1000 years. I reckon that you aren't 1000 years old yet and this is to show that this notion doesn't apply to you.
Resting on the 7th day is an example. The days of creation were that -days not time periods.

I just think that your over analyzing things. We are not going to understand everything in this Book. I don't know what God original plan was for us but when Adam and Eve bit the forbidden fruit everything changed. Remember God put Adam in a very deep sleep to create Eve, maybe it was because we were so much in his image that we didn't need sleep. Yes 1 of our days is like 1000's to God. The Bible also says that our ways are not like his ways and our thoughts are not like his thoughts. It really doesn't matter what he did the following week or the next day for that matter. He is God and God alone this earth belongs to him and the fullness there of, and he can do what he wishes. His is El Shaddia

Yes if you work 6000 years you may take a 1000 year vacation.
thee 7th day {the sabbath} was set aside for us to reflect on all God gave us and thank Him,It was meant that we should not be all into ourselves all the time.I so not know what God did on the 8th day and those that followed but I imagine He went on to create ,other planets ,the universe.upon the return of Jesus He states "I HAVE SHEEP OF ANOTHER FLOCK THEM ALSO I WILL BRING" To me that means another form of life from another world.
