And, why was God at all surprised that Adam and Eve had been tempted? Since God knows everything he should have know this outcome a trillion years before he created the earth.

because god Intended them to eat from the tree of knowlege from the get go, so they would become aware of their free will, and understand their potential.

the problem is that christianity attaches this idea that it was evil, or dirty or some sort of fundamental flaw,

when thats not it at all.

I'm not a Bible "scholar",but EVERYTHING that happened in the Garden Of Eden was allowed to happen,with the end result already known.

God gave them freewill and let them chose. He didn't allow it to happen, it was their decision...they chose not to listen to God.
