Help my new puppy keeps peeing on carpets only. She doesnt pee anywhere else. What can i do to stop this habit? She's really young so i dont want to bring her outside. I've put out newspaper for her at a designated spot but she doesnt really get the idea.

If you are going to have her go inside all her life, then get some pee pads from the pet store. They are scented to the dog will want to pee on them.
If you are going to train her to go outside eventually, then you should start that way now. Take her to the back yard where she won't come in contact with other dogs until she has had all her vaccinations.
As for in the house, look up articles on crate training. This is the method that I use. It's the only way!

first the carpet needs to be cleaned other dogs have peed there before her that is why she only pees there. use a vinegar and water mix to clean the whole carpet it will eliminate the previous piddle oders only she can smell. .... as far as being too young for outside that is ridiculous the sooner you show her sooner she is trained the older the dog the harder it is to break the habit and habit it will become... dogs are meant to pee outside if you did not want to walk your pet maybe you should have gotten a cat.

Training a dog to potty in the house trains the dog to potty in the potty in the house. Dogs can be paper trained, but are you later going to try to train the dog to go outside? If so, you are then going to have to "untrain" it from going inside. Untraining is MUCH harder than training.

Simply put the pup outside, say "potty" and when it finally does say "good puppy, good potty". Depending on age of pup will depend how often it has to "go". A very young pup, figure every couple of hours...and always after it wakes up, and after playtime with it.

It's a lot of work.

Have you tried containing her to her own area like a pen or crateput paper in one end and bed in other put the whole paper down and when she soils it take the top couple of layers off but leave the smell on the others, gradually you can bring her out but leave paper nearby or still in her pen? they learn quickly. They really like the carpet as it doesnt splash on their legs Good luck
