The Bible often refers to believers as "His sheep." There are 3 truths about sheep: they're cute, dumb and prone to self destruction. Look at the world. Doesn't that pretty much describe humans?
So there are pastors who are commissioned to lead His sheep, to guard them, protect them, train them, so that we can come into a deeper relationship with God. Can the Bible alone do that? Yes. But we were created as social creatures and need encouragement and time with others.
I don't think that you are any different. Did you go to school? Did you have teachers? Do you have friends? Even if you were a monk you would have these things available to you. They, of course, aren't pastors because they are not interested in protecting you. How sad that you don't have a pastor in your life.

Dear Alucard,
The term "pastor" does NOT offend me in the least bit. I am a sinner and I read the Bible from cover-to-cover every year. It teaches me so much but it is wonderful to have my pastor share his greater perspective with me.
I think you would enjoy reading A Shepard Looks at Psalm 23. I think the author is Philip Keller. Having been a shepard he offers some very interesting insight into what you refer to as "brainless sheep".

In a sheephearding sense, a pastor is someone that protects and cares for the flock. In the bible, it mentions of Jesus viewing himself in the same manner (a pastor).
A pastor in the Christian sense is just doing the same thing. They are trying to protect and care for their flock by teaching them and helping them learn about Christ and thereby getting to heaven.
Remember, there are manny connotations of a word, especially when taken from different contexts. From the context of many people, being a sheep means following blindly, but from a devout christian, being a sheep is a good spiritual thing. After all, Jesus was the Lamb of God. That is a very good association for a christian.

I'm not a brainless sheep, but I am one of God's sheep. There are lots of people who look after His flocks. Taking care of the needs of other is a great thing to be doing. I don't mind pastor but I prefer minister (to minister is to look after someones needs or take care of them). I am, however, not a big fan of 'reverend' because we shouldn't give reverence to anyone but God.

No it doesn't. It is in some way a term of respect given to people.
I am not a brainless sheep. It is possible to get into a spot of trouble because of the old nature being in us.

Who should get offended the Pastors or others? Why can't people even put their feeble thoughts into a proper sentence?

No it doesn't offend me at all, but your question does concern me for your soul. Believing in the Lord & the Bible is also called faith. God's word helps me know what God expects of me & that's great. My prayer for you is that you can see the joy in knowing Jesus as your Savior, and not so cynical towards those who do.

Believers say we are Jesus`s flock. He is the Good Shepard.
We all know a Shepard leads his flock to their death all the while feeding off of them .I am not a sheep nor do I consider any person one .
