Since we all may not do as we should, ( following what God instructed through the Holy Spirit in Jesus) Those other people are here to make up for what we may not.
And the others of the other people are for the same thing.
Since God is love, then love will continue forever, therefore there will always be others to carry on the love that we may decide to never share.

They're here for the same thing. I think the idea is that through karmic interaction with others we realise that in reality we are all part of the spiritual oneness of the universe regardless of creeds or ethnicity.

We are here and have been commisioned for one purpose:
Mark 16:15,16
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieveth shall be condemned.

Assuming your premise is correct (and I suspect there's much veracity in it), then others are here to help you (and me), as well.
What goes around, comes around -- at least in a so-called perfect world.

The logical answer would be "to help us".
Not that I agree with your premise; We're here because we are vehicles for our genes.
