The South Koreans love the following soup dish..

DOG SOUP!!

Jeongol (boiled dog meat mixed with spices and vegetables) mmmmmm makes me feel hungry!!

Eat while boiling to boil down some of the soup. Add lots of dog meat and vegetables such as dropwort, perilla leaves, green onion and other ingredients such as garlic, pepper, and red pepper are put in.

It can be served as a side dish with Soju (liquor) or for eating with boiled rice.
Any remaining boiled rice can be mixed with the remaining soup.

The standard amount of ingredients for one portion.

(1) Ingredients

200g of boiled dog meat, 150g of gravy, 50g of green onion, 50g of leek, 40g
of dropwort, 20g of perilla

(2) Sauce

3g of salt, 5g of perilla, 10g of mashed garlic, 2g of red pepper, a little amount
of pepper.

(3) Cooking Instructions

Eat while boiling the soup, dog meat, gravy, vegetables and other ingredients
in a pan. If it is excessively boiled, the color of vegetables can be changed,
deteriorating the taste of the soup. So once it is boiled, cooking over a weak fire,
begin eating.

You might feel a bit wuff the next morning, but its worth it.

What South Koreans eat is not our problem. It's North Korea and Kim Jong II that we've got to watch closely. Actually dog meat is quite popular in several cultures. Even Native Americans ate (and some still do) dog meat. Personally I couldn't imagine it but then I draw the line at squid and sushi too.

Oh rubbish! I lived in Sth Korea for a year. Most people there would probably say kimchi is their fav dish (pickled cabbage).
Its only flaccid old men who eat dog. And what's your point anyway? People all over the world eat all sorts of things, monkey brains, horses, worms. So what? Many might be horrified at what YOU eat...

What does it matter? Different cultures and countries eat a variety of things. I'm sure there are many who think what other people eat is disgusting. To each his own, I say. And by the way, South Korea is our ally, it's North Korea that we are concerned with. I hope this helps.

Why do you feel the need to give the recipe, obviously a bit of a ****! Anyway, we eat cows (well I dont), but the cow is a sacred animal in India, so not one person on here can criticise who eats what type of meat, dog or otherwise if they eat meat themselves.

When you first said dog meat, I thought it was just that they had a few too many tins of winnalot lying around, but the horrible truth has just dawned on me.......... poor fido!!!!
Mind you, I don't complain about a nice bit of lamb or bacon, and someone keeps them as pets!!!

The following animals should not be eaten, as it's just plain wrong or disgusting. They should only be eaten in a survival situation at best.

Dog
Frog
Snail
Horse
Insects
Human
Guinea Pig
Whale

The list would go on, but most of the rest are obvious.
