a ka-bob or a kebab. Never heard of a kebab.

A general Doner Kebab is made from Lamb mince, spices, fat and some grissle (not very different but bigger meat content that sausages) Obviously a chicken doner is made from chicken.
Kebabs are actually not as bad for you as people make out, but the best choice if of course shish kebab as it is made from leaner meat and has less fat in it. In general otherwise it is just meat,salad and sauce and one of the better take away options.

Kebab means grilled or broiled in Turkish. A kebab can have meat, vegetables, fish, fruit, or any combination. Traditionally, they are made with beef or lamb, but not pork. Some religions don't allow pork to be eaten. In America, anything goes! Usually, we call them shish kabab, or shish kabob. My family makes our own and use whatever we choose to skewer and grill! Meat. There are different kebabs -- chicken, lamb, beef.... can also use veges like cherry tomatoes, onion, green pepper, etc. Its all good! Not all kebabs are on a skewer - some is cooked in a pan - kofta kebab.

If i tell you it will put you off. Always ask kebab on a skewer because that is pure meat. But a donnor kebab don't go there.

every kebab basically has meat apart from one which at my local kebab place is halomi cheese i am going to try it soon quite scared. all they are is meat and veggies on a skewer and then grilled and they sometimes serve it with pitta and salad well thast wat they do at mine neway

i think it is lamb, at least i hope it is, my friend once asked our local indian takeaway people what it was, they said donkey dick, so i seriously hope that was a joke,although ive never had a meat kebab before so im ok!

Those horrible ones that they carve off the big elephant leg thing? That is just crap meat, scrapings off the bone, fat, gristle, oil, flavourings and a load of junk.
