I bought these speakers in the USA on holiday and now home need to run them off a 220-240V supply. All i know is the supplied trasformer says "Input: AC120V 60Hz 160mA" "Output: AC 12V 1.5A" . Can anyone tell me exactly what i need to buy (and where to get it online if poss) to make the speakers work. I think UK is 50Hz will this make any difference? Really hope someone can help as I really want to get this set-up and enjoy the rich Bose sound that I love

You need a 240/110 step down transformer, which you can get from Maplins, your US plug will fit right in. Just make sure that it has at least 160mA (milliamp) output.

OR

Discard your US psu and buy a 240/12v volt transformer with at least 1.5amp AC output.

I dont think the 50/60 hertz will have any effect.

well just buy a higher power type of a regulated power adpater 220V in & 12VDC out preferably at least 2.5A in power that way it wont burn. Well the 50/60 Hz cycle wont really affect your sound so enjoy.
