I like to go for walks, but if my shoes don't have the right support I get shooting pains in my shins that make it impossible to walk. Anyone know of a great pair of shoes that will help. I've tried New Balance and Adidas and they don't help.

I swear by Reebok Crosstrainers. They seem to work for every activity that I do (with the exception of heavy squats and deadlifts). They are wonderful for walking, running, ball, biking, etc. I have never had shin pain while wearing them.

Good Luck! I hope that you find some good ones.

Cross training would be alright but you really need a tennis shoe. Going side to side makes running shoes unacceptable. You can get a good shoe for around $50-$75. I love Nike. They last longer on the court.

I have a great pair of Nike tennis shoes. I had a pair of Adidas supposedly all purpose trainers, but my ankle kept giving way in them and I kept falling over. These shoes are great and although they are tennis shoes, I use them for all purpose without problems. I am not sure how to describe them but 041202U UF is inside.

There is no such thing as cross-training tennis shoes.
