While you do not need faith or religion to be happy, many people find that belief in something larger than themselves gives them hope, which in turn provides comfort, security, and overall happiness. As a Buddhist, I have my own beliefs, which in themselves make me happy, much happier than when I was when I was indoctrinated into Catholicism. The problem with Atheism is that without any strong hopes or dreams other than those of the material world, people become attached more easily to the materialistic side of nature, and cling to things, people, animals, the environment, their jobs, etc. While this can be a good thing in some respects, it causes suffering when those things are removed. So, if you want happiness, having faith in something rather than nothing can provide a more complete happiness.

Nope not weird at all. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life - no man comes to the Father except through the Son. Find Jesus today and have an abundant life on this earth and also have Eternal Life when this life is done. It is not religion - it is a relationship with Jesus and God - trusting by faith that They are who They say They are. Start reading the book of John in the Holy Bible - NIV, NKJV, KJV, NASB - any of these translations and Believe on the Lord Jesus. Blessings and I will be praying for you.

Don't waste your time with other religions. Start with Islam and you will not seek others. You don't know when your life will end, so, don't waste it in going into a maze that will consume most of your life and leading you to hell.
Let me tell you something that will change your life forever:
Say: Ashadu An La Elaha Ella Allah (I testify that there is no God but Allah)
Once you say it, you will be a Muslim in a split second. The rest, you need to contact the nearest Mosque or read more about it in the Internet.
If you feel you want to learn more, feel free to ask any question here and we will answer it if we can .
May Allah save your soul.

I don't believe you have to have faith or a religion in order to be happy. Many people live happy, content lives without those. If you are looking, though, look within yourself first. No one can tell you what you are looking for. This is a path we all walk alone. We just happen to meet others along the path, but we still walk our path alone.

there is no such things as complete happiness or else you belong to world of insanity...you're searching for spirituality not religion, because you will become more confuse. Follow your direction once you develop faith...then religion follows.
Weight things what you have right now like how your parents oriented you with regards to faith, then explore...find out & discover before you try onother

You were created by God to worship. That is why you feel weird. Jesus was sent to die for you. He offered everyone a gift. It is the gift of eternal life. It is the only way to heaven. He loves you very much. If you would like to know Him pray. Maybe something like this: Thank Him for dying on the cross for you. Put Him as the leader of your life. Also confess your sins. It is the only thing keeping you from Him. He desires nothing more than to spend time with you. I will pray for you.

Weird, no. More than likely you feel the need to have religion in your life because you feel the need to belong to something...anything. If you joined a non-religious club or group (a bowling league or took up yoga), you'd probably be just as happy.

It's not weird at all.
If you read in self development field, you will find out that faith is an important part of a healthy character.
It's something that God created in humans, it's one of the differences between Humans and other creatures.

Jesus said his true disciples will be identified with love amongst themselves so we expect them to be happy people and enjoy doing God's will.
To be completely happy is impossible since we are imperfect and we live in a world full of trouble, but we persevere knowing that very soon God is going to eliminate the wicked ones so that his people can enjoy life everlasting on a paradise earth.
