After 8 years, you should not relapse UNLESS you've been exposed to the risk factors again. Get yourself to your gastro; you should be followed up at least once a year for the rest of your life. Best wishes to you.

There are many things that can cause the liver to inflame. alcohol, medications, illness. See your doctor and get tested to see if your Hep C is active. You don't say what cleared your Hep C, Medication? or did your immune system kill it? If your immune system destroyed the virus, you are unlikely to relapse. Don't wait and worry go get tested.

i don't know. i am having sharp liver pains (unlike URQ pain before antiviral chemo).....we aren't out of the woods where liver cancer is concerned from what i understand....and i'm freaking out over this new "pain".

let me know if you find out anything...it could be just a virus of some other sort that is making you have your pain.

keep in touch! im calling my gastro today!
