well if she is afraid of commitment and is insecure, you need to gain her trust before going for the big question. she sounds like she WANTS to trust you, but cant. it could be something you have done in the past, or it could be the result of a previous bad relationship. might even be a bad relationship with her dad. the options of reasons are endless. regardless of the reasons, you need to get to the bottom of it without being pushy. talk to her. can she talk to you? or would you judge her or laugh at her? be the kind of person she can talk to. if you already are, then just ask her what you can do to help her be free from her fears. make sure you tell her you love her every day, and just really nurture her. dont baby her, but respect that she has insecurities that need to be loved out of her. you can do it, but you need to really really want to. talk to her.
then when she is a bit more confident in you and the relationship, any kind of proposal will be fine. as long as you mean it. she will know :-)
the craziest coolest proposal i ever heard was my friends cousin. her man, told her he had a special day planned for her, she had to get ready and then her friend was gonna pick her up. so her best friend picks her up with a note from him, telling her he loves her and cant wait to see her, then her mate drops her off at a park, where her mum is sitting on a bench, and gives her another gift from him, a poem about her and why he loves her... her mum walks her around the block as they read, to a carpark where another friend is waiting. He drives her to the mall where she has a dry cleaners ticket to take in, she goes in there and picks up whatever it is she has the ticket for, and it is a baithing suit and beach dress. her cousin is waiting for her in the drycleaners, who shows her to the changerooms while reminding her about all the dates that her and her man had ever been on (the guy gave the cousin a list so that she could go thru it).... my friend by now was smiling and had butterflies because of all the effort... all this for an anniversary?! then she gets changed, and her cousin takes her to her car and drives her to the beach, here, her dad is waiting. Her dad takes her for a walk along the beach, talking to her about being a little girl, and how he loved to see her grow up, how he is happy she is with such a nice guy etc (which brought tears to her eyes coz until then she wasnt sure wether or not her dad approved), they kept walking down the beach, and then her dad stopped at a big pile of rocks (the beach here has quite alot of small cliff rocks rubble etc on the side of it) and said "this walk kind of reminds me of when a father walks his daughter down the asile... its a proud moment. i love you. then he says, wait here.... he walks off around the rocks and up the path, and as he is walking off, her man comes out from the rocks and tells her he wanted everyone closest to her to be apart of the rest of her life. He gets down on one knee, and proposes.
she said yes. :-)
the reason he did it like this is because she told him, that one day when she gets married, her biggest fear is that the people she loves the most will be left out, like she will get to busy for them. the thought terrified her into saying no to two men previously. she was so concerned for all the other relationships in her life it held her back. so he made the proposal like a promise. His proposal spoke to her "we will always find a way, find time, to include the ones we love in our lives after marriage."
maybe you could make your proposal say "dont be afraid to commit to me, i am committed to you. You dont have to feel insecure, i love you and would never leave you". i dont know how you could do this but hopefully u have some ideas.

Over dinner at a nice restaurant. Propose low key, not making a scene, so she doesn't feel put on the spot in front of other people. Best wishes to the both of you.

Why would you want to propose to her if you know she's afraid of commitment? Seriously, you don't want to marry an insecure woman. You'll suffer for the whole of your married life with her if you do. In fact, the beginning of the end of the relationship is already evident in the insecurity she displays.

Yeah tht insecurity will be thr. And commitment is also not a game. But if u giv her tht luv n security n make her feel tht ur thr for her may wht eva come. u'l always be wid her thn she'l surely say yes

do it first think in morn.after making love,make coffee for the two of you and while use are sitting their waking up,Say oh,I forgot tere,s something i have to ask you,and with her bed head and yours,Get down on one knee,already have ring case hidden behind seat of coach,Pull it out with out her seeing,and when your on your knee,pull ring box out and say'Baby your the person I want to spend the rest of my life with,will you Marry me!That would be the most romanice way for a man to ask for your hand,and she,ll never ever will forget that day!It will always put a smile on her Face!Good luck,Hollywood
