hey everyone,
This year I graduated and I started applying for jobs but nothing really satisfied me..I was actually waiting for my uncle to ask me to work with them like they did with my sis..but they didn't!!! so my dad told me he can call my uncle and ask him if it's ok to work with them..well the job has many advantages..the salary is good and it's near my house but it has one disadvantage, My Cousin..My sister told me he can't run family business successfully + he's cheap and a little rude and stubborn and if he managed this family business instead of my uncle who'll retire next december, the business will be screwed and prolly the salary will be less, also the company has no employees at all it's just my cousin and my sis and my other cousin who left the job this month..so what do u think, should I go for it and work with them or not..also do u find it embarrassing that my dad calls them and asks them to make me work with them or not??

I say go for it, if it really is gonna go sour next year at least you'll get some good experience but i think your sis might be wrong. Your uncle has a succesful company and isn't going to let some dope ruin it so maybe your cousin is well trained at the business. Nobody evre gets a pay decrease and don't be embaressed, he's family and was probably just busy and never even thought to offer you a job. Best of luck

I would not let my dad call. I would call my uncle and ask him myself if he could use another employee. If you still have a year before he retires you may make a difference. A lot can happen in a year. You may find something you enjoy more. His son might like the way you work and open up to new idea's. A job is a job and you can change anytime. If you want to make it a career then you may want to weigh all options just in case your cousins doesn't sway to the correct way in doing business.

that's a choice u got to make it urself. In my opinion, u should talk to u dad about it rather than just buzz off to another job which i think that's what u really want.

If at all possible, I believe that going out on your own would be preferable and will make you stronger and more independent.
