One kills for their religious beliefs, the other is just a pain in the back-sides.

Best thing to do with the later, either slow way down and let them pass, or, slam on your brakes, then accelerate, cause them to have a sudden rush of terror, or wet themselves, which ever comes first.

I have observed big trucks, swing their trailers over on the shoulder, kicking up rocks and debris from their tires, and pelt the hell out of the tailgater. But most people don't drive big trucks.

Look, just use caution cause these nut cases can be as bad as the religious nut cases.

A terrorist is some one who will take hundreds of lives at the same time and without much thought or concern to the innocents he/she might be involving.
A tailgater, while instilling terror, is not a terrorist. He's doing it because of the adrenaline rush and because he's STUPID!!
I have a method of dealing with this kind of person and usually it's to take my foot off the gas and let the car slow down so they can pass me. If I'm feeling particularly obnoxious, I let the car slow down and prevent them from passing me.

Should we attempt to differentiate between the two, either would be considered bad.
