Most definitely. When people get drunk to that point, they have very little, if any, muscle control. That's why so many fall down, or can't walk properly. So when you loose muscle control, it's not just in your legs, it's all over. There are muscles controlling the release of urine in your body and these get affected just the same as all the others do. The muscles become so lax that they don't send the message to your brain that you've got to go so they just go on their own. This is also true of the bowel system.

Please stop drinking so much, you're hurting yourself more than you realize now. By the time you do, it could be too late. I know it's fun, sometimes just something to do, but your health will thank you in the long run as well as your family.

What you need to ask yourself is - 'do I soil myself when I have not had any alcohol' If you can usually manage not to soil yourself and the only time when you have, alcohol is involved then the answer is most definitely yes, alcoho is causing your bowel and or bladder to relax inopportunely.

The next question to ask yourself is - are you bothered by the fact that you are soiling yourself? If the answer is yes then cut back on your drinking. If the answer is no then at least you will know what is truly important to you right now.

If you want to cut back and need more advice post another question.

Good luck

You say soiling yourself so I presume you mean.....pooing yourself? If this is what you mean then yes it is the drink and seriously you ought to go and buy some milk thistle tablets from your chemists.. you have a fatty liver caused by too much drink . Your on the way to a diseased liver and is not something to relish whether young or old. Lay off the drink for a wee while.

Good luck!

you have a serious drink problem mate!!! when it gets to the soiling stage this is not a good sign, you really need to stop drinking for a while, or at least drastically cut down, you are not in control of your bowels and that is not good for you or anyone else in your presence, plus i would be very embarrassed and ashamed of myself if i were you. Sort yourself out before the man in the sky does!!!!!!!!!!

It is partly due to the alcohol numbing your senses and probably rendering you unconscious or semi conscious while you are asleep. Also when you are in this state the tight ring of muscle around the anus, called the anal sphincter, loses its elasticity and you are unable to contol your bowel movements. The same with the detrusor muscle around the bladder, control over this muscle is lost, causing urinary incontinence.

Well it is the drink in a way, it may be that you are drinking too much and passing rather than falling asleep. Try to drink less and maybe change your drinking habits, not too many pints. Good luck.
