If you're overweight and eat for comfort and all other reasons, have you figured out your reasons why?... I think tonight I did. For people who have never had a weight problem it's easy to say 'just quit eating' or 'exercise more', but there are some of us who are very active and eat healthy, but still fall off the wagon. If this is the case, tell me the reasons you think you may overeat. I realized tonight that, for me, each time I've given up on life or on myself I want food a.k.a - comfort, but then I also think 'Who cares, I'll just eat until I die'...never realizing, until now, that the saddest thing is I've apparently given up on myself many times...a way to kill oneself slowly, without actually taking the steps to commit suicide. Tell me your story.

No, I go to the gym at least twice a week, I work on my feet all day pretty much full time. I do make healthier choices when I eat, and am always aware that what I put in my mouth I will have to pay for in some way. I have just really tried to analyze, for years, WHY I ate (and occasionally eat) the way I did. I've been overweight my whole life and once I started to like myself and make changes for myself it was much better, I've lost about 70lbs. I just wanted to know why other people may eat the way that they do, or why they think they do... does anyone ever resist the urge, when in tears, to run to the fridge and binge...and really ask themselves WHY they want to get comfort from food?

We are inventing explanations, we do not observe them. I doubt if we will observe any motive, seeing that on the second of finding, we by accident create it. I'm puzzling over approximately my lifestyles. I believe I exist besides. I imply I'm whatever finally; perhaps an phantasm or whatever else. I believe as a result I am. What I desire to mention is that I do not want motive for my lifestyles.

It's easy for us to tell you to eat healthy and exercise, it's true.
I can't say I have your problem, but I've seen it in others. And the only way I can even half way understand the problem is to relate it along the lines of my smoking.
Everyone says "Just quit," Well, if I could 'just quit' I would. They obviously have never been addicted to anything in their lives. And food, to some, is addictive.
