Everytime it rains, isnt the rain got contaminated the whole citywide? and the water all flows to drain then to sea??
We were taught to dispose properly used engine oil , but isnt this citywide road asphalting worser?

Oxygen is also poison to the human body! Oxydation is the primary reason for aging and causes death! I suppose we should do away with it too?

Oil is not a poison to the environment. There are bacteria that use petroleum as a rich source of nutrients and energy. Science now uses them to help remediate oil slicks. Oil was originally discovered when it seeped out of the soil, so how can it be bad for the environment. Like so many man-made products, petroleum based products do damage our environment, but that is because we have not developed safeguards against the poisons we develope. Asphault is solid and only releases slowly into the environment.

Asphalt has a virtually zero solubility in water. It is a very good water seal. It is put to excellent use on roads.
