Since "stop drinking" is an incredibly obvious answer and not what you're looking for, try this:
Hangovers are caused by dehydration. Alcohol acts as a diuretic, meaning that it causes you to expel more liquids than normal (that's why you pee so much when you drink). To combat this it is suggested that before you drink you eat a large meal (it helps to regulate how quickly the alcohol goes through your body because the food in your stomach absorbs some of the alcohol). Also, between alcoholic beverages, drink a glass of water, to keep hydrated. Try to do a one to one or at least two to one ratio of alcohol to water. When you go home from the bar, eat a piece of plain bread and drink another glass of water. You could take 2 aspirin as well before you go to sleep.
It is possible that your "blues" are connected to how rough and sick you feel with the hangover. Try to combat the hangover and see if you still feel really down; I'd be willing to wager that you feel better both mentally and physically if you don't let your body get dehydrated.
If you still feel "down" post alcohol you could try an herbal "pick me up" like St. John's Wort.
Good luck!

Alcohol has the effect of getting rid of the "blues". That's why people feel "happy" after a few drinks. The problem is that coming down from alcohol made you feel even worse and to overcome that, some people consume more alcohol to temparaory make themselves feel better. Now can you see this is a cycle which gets worse and worse. This is how people get into alcohol abuse.

Sounds like you drink a lot for it to give you physical & emotional symptoms. When you do drink make sure you get a lot of water & vitamin b because they're the 2 things that alcohol depletes in your system the most. If you feel like your drinking is really affecting your life then you may need to seek some help from organisations like alanon or something. Just be careful.

The blues are probably due to you having low blood sugar after all the drinking. The best thing to do would be to make sure you eat lots of complex carbohydrates on the day you are drinking and the day after. This should help with your blood sugar and reduce the depression.

You probably shouldn't drink in excess. After all, a few hours of fun isn't worth the few days of feeling bad.
