I am travelling from London (UK) to toronto on thursday 2nd Nov and returning on the 10th or 11th Nov 06. I want to be sure there are no school holidays or anything that will disrupt my travel?

Nothing that should disrupt your travel. We have Remembrance Day, but that shouldn't affect you in any way, as it is November 11. All banks are open except on weekends for some branches.

CK is right.

Since you also ask about the USA, Nov. 11 is Veteran's Day there (same holiday, different name). The US Election Day will be Nov. 7, but other than gov't offices, that shouldn't affect anything else.

In Canada, Banks & government offices get November 11th (Remembernce Day) off. But I don't think this will affect your plans. We don't do a lot of travelling then.

Nope, nothin' except Remembrance Day / Vetran's Day on the 11th. We don't even have Guy Fawkes day on the 5th. Enjoy your visit.
