It's not about making people care about what you believe. It's about sharing the truth of the Gospel and hoping to share in the joy of Jesus Christ while we share this world. If someone takes the time to share the Gospel with you, feel happy. They're showing that they care about the condition of your soul and want to see you in heaven for eternity. It's not a bad thing...

I would say the need to feel they are right, by finding people who believe the same things. And, if they can convince someone to believe the way they do, then it makes them feel intellectually superior.

Churches need more fools. So they get the fools they do have to try and convert people. Plus its fun to annoy the "righteous" !
