Ok, I answered your other question and this question has just made me even sure of the answer. I don't think you and your partener shopuld get custordy of a kid at all. He should apply for contact but thats all until he makes his home a happy place to be. It sounds like you are very bitter. Maybe you should leave him and find a decent man who won't make you so cross.

I fyou are serious about getting custody you should show up at every single court date. If not, it looks like it really doesn't matter to you enough to show up. I am guessing from what you said that this is his child and you're having to deal with the ex wife. Unfortunately, when you get involved with someone who's divorced and has a child the ex wife will always be a part of your life. Learn to accept the fact that she is the childs mother and deal with her as little as possible...let him do that. Try to keep the peace for the sake of the child. Going through this could be a very traumatic experience for a child especially when the adults are constantly arguing in front of him. Children are very in tuned to things like that and it can cause them problems for many years.

Yes. What's sauce for the goose is also for the gander. But, I really can't understand what the rest of you question tries to say!!

what's it all got to do with 'skipping court' - and what does that mean exactly - implications - repercussions - results etc etc.

Sash.

I can't think of anything more important than going to court for the custody of a child - am I right in thinking this bloke can't be bothered to try? Will he bother for you and your children then? What a loser! Run honey....find a decent bloke
