No. I think to be the messiah you would have to believe in yourself and what you were saying in your teachings. You should not have low self esteem. God obviously wants you here...is there anyone more important than that? If you cannot love yourself then you cannot truly love anyone else.

You already know the answer to this. True pride recognizes one's worth and rightness in the universe, and true humility recognizes that all beings possess this quality. In those terms it would be blasphemy. All messiahs know this.
