This is how it works; we know from Prophet Muhammad that the closer we are to the end of days, the less faith there will be and I am not sure if there is anything we can do about it. People are either turning secular or still belong to a religion only on their ID cards, no real practice.
We pray for Allah's mercy.

Jesus said, "However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?" Later, Paul in his writings corrected the misunderstandings of the Church at Thessalonica who believed that Christ had already returned. He said, more or less, don't you remember what I told you? Christ won't come back until the falling away occurs and the man of sin is revealed. In Revelation the last church, Laodicea thinks it is rich but God says it is poor. Thinks it is well dressed, but God says filthy rags. Says it sees, but God says it is blind to own condition.
And so it is. The churches in America are dead. They don't know that because they don't know what a live church looks like. These dead churches go three ways, generally: 1) They entertain the congregation, or 2) they have what they call "worship" which is noise so loud you can't even think, let alone worship, or 3) They make doctrine their god.
In the entertaining churches, the jokes come aplenty; the stories are good, but the spirit is starved. Jesus said, "Feed my sheep."
In the worship churches, the noise level is deafening. Musicians and singers belt out modern day worship songs. Some two stepping occurs in the front rows, while the rest of the congregation looks on. Much of the lyrics are repetitive lines. They are christian mantras. It is so loud in there that you cannot even think without that noise intruding into your thoughts. That cacophony is so harsh and discordant, that a normal person would recoil from it. The amazing thing is that the leaders think that is worship. Jesus said those who worship must worship in spirit and truth.
The doctrine churches teach the "truth". Their leaders set themselves up as the Sheriff of the Kingdom. This is where you hear apologetics for their belief systems. They tolerate no dissent. They club you over the head with their doctrine. They are the modern day pharisees. Jesus said the truth will set you free.
The churches are quite dead. Instead of living water and the bread of life, they serve entertainment, or noise, or pictures of bread and water on good quality paper.
The frog has been sitting in water that is hotter and hotter and is totally unaware of it. The Spirit has withdrawn but the church continues as if He were still there. It is a tragedy of gargantuan proportions because the sheep have scattered. Thirsty sheep can't be fooled. They know when the water is real and when their is none. Why go to the watering hole if there has not been water there?

In as much as I was not around to see how everything came into being (and neither were you),I say, "I don't know ..... YET!" To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously farted the universe into being, is absurd. This life is all there is and because it is so precious, it is a colossal waste of time kissing up to a made-up god so you can go to a nonexistent place after you die. Dead means DEAD.

In order for the MODERN and EDUCATED man to believe in a God .That God needs to reveal himself for ALL to see and hear ,not just the millionaire televangelists.
Todays medical and scientific advances would have been considered" Gods" Miracles back in ancient times.
The fact is MAN created these miracles ,Not God .
Most scientists are Atheists or Agnostic, because they need PROOF of a solution to a question or a problem .
The question and problem of a god is that it is based on belief alone with no difinitive answer or proof.
It is nice that you believe but you are only showing your inability to really know the truth.

many people do not want to be close to a god. many people do not believe in a god. many people who do not believe in a god, think that those who do are to be avoided. many people who do not believe in a god want no part of your god.
as for the truth, does anyone truly know the truth? do you know the truth, or do you just think you know because you believe?
you can spend all the time you want getting to know your god. do not expect other people to spend time with you. the so-called "no use frivolties" you ask about may be frivolous to you, but they might not be for other people. respect other people as you would want them to respect you.

On the other hand, maybe God wants us to use our precious time clothed in flesh to learn about the joys and sorrows of His material creation. We will have plenty of time to be close to Him after we die.

i personally do not care and i know a number of other ppl who do not either! i want to be left alone, we want to be left alone, get yourself closer to god, not other ppl that have made a choice just like yourself! the big mistake that many religious ppl make is not to understand that we have chosen to do so, and have a right to be left on that path and respected.
i hope you understand.

I disagree.
I think its actually quite the opposite.
more and more people are drifing TOWARDS God, and spirituality, and AWAY from religion and restrictive social conventions which claim to speak in god's name.
the growth of psychic and spiritual awareness is a wonderful thing, even if its at the cost of religious observance.

"And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." -Matthew 28:18-20
All we can do is what the Lord has called us to do.
