I did spend the large portion of one night talking in an Irish accent due to the fact that Lanzarote has about 3 million Irish bars.

Yes!! I was doing this just yesterday - kind of Canadian and it lasted all day. And I've often got stuck in various ENglish accents.

Did you hear about the guy who got a bump on the head and started speaking with a strong Italian accent from then on. Its not uncommon. Weird.

Sometimes if the accent is prominent such as the Queen's English or Scottish brogue I have picked it up but have had no problem going back to my old way of speaking. I have several friends in the UK and I love to hear them speak.

No an accent as such, but a posh 'telephone voice' and now i can't stop cos if I tak in my proper voice, people at my new workplace will think I am a scrubber!!!!!

well, not exactly, but i am a total mimick, if someone is talking to me and has an accent- no matter what it is, i just start copying them.
They must be thinking what an idiot i am but i can't stop.

i find that if i start talking to someone with a diff accent i have this habit where i start to copy them ... its unintentional and i really cant help it !! I just hope no one ever notices !!

I once met a girl with a bad stutter who told me that she developed it through mocking someone else's stutter and then found she couldn't stop! There's a moral lesson for you!

Only when I am in the southern states. But you gotta do that to get around otherwise you get heckled for being a "yankee".

the lonodon accent....first i was using it as humour now its part of the way i talk....still pretty funny, ya' know wa I mean
