only problem is it would take up more energy to collect the fart gas (manufacturing little baloons and collection devices...etc...) and burn it for energy - than it would actually produce - in energy...
same goes with cow farts - TONS of methane

In fact all mammalian excrement, farts and blurrbs produce methane. Also animal and plant wastes/dead bodies while they decompose give out methane
A study revealed that the amount of methane produced by blurrbs of milk producing animals(Cow, buffalo, goat) worldwide-if collected and channelized, would meet the entire petro fuel requirement of the planet.
