I would have said neither, but embarrassing maybe.

Good sex doesn't just happen automatically. There are a lot of things that go into the conditions for really good sex. The first thing is genuine commitment. That's not just a feeling, that is something much deeper than that, represented by actions. The most obvious of these actions is marriage. But it takes more than that. Sex is a deeply meaningful learning process, where you learn to increasingly know and truly love your lover. It also involves becoming comfortable with your own self, and your own sexuality, and your lover (in a deeply commited relationship) can do a lot to help that happen.
So that is my long way of saying (from my own and others' experience), usually the first few times are pretty awkward; but as you intentionally learn and serve each other (and practice!), it gets better and better. I know a couple who are great-grandparents, and they say that sex is better now than it was when they first got married (!!!). I want to be like that.

If you do it when YOU are ready then it will be OKAY... the first time is never the best because no matter how ready you are you don't really know what to expect so there is a lot of apprehension there.... But its not bad.......
If you do it when you are talked into it and you really don't want to then it can be bad.

It is supposed to be good, of course, but it depends on the situation. You have a better chance of it being good if you both love each other, both are sober, both are willing, and have the time and place to do it properly. (A back seat is not a proper place.)
Casual sex will make you feel cheap and will not be special, regardless of how cute your partner is. Oh yeah, pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases tend to make it bad.

It is what you make it. Is it just your first time or is it the first time for both of you? Things are different for everyone and more times than not it is going to be awkward your first time.

I think mine sucked. I felt quite uncomfortable because I'm not prepared for it, and I wasn't emotionally satisfied after that.

It should be a cherished moment you and your husband share on your wedding night.
