i'm in high school...a lot of guys had crush on me earlier....but i never liked any of them coz all of them were absolute jerks....but i like this guy ever since he was 10....i can't call him my best friend...but we're good.
but he thinks now...that i'm a flirt and possibly a super-jerk coz my parents(as they are very possessive) beat up one of the guys who liked me....
he dosen't talk to me properly & has stopped looking in my eyes...
i've never loved any guy except him...and i want us to be on good terms.
please help

maybe you should just tell him that you love him. and make it clear that you`re not playing around. and maybe you shouldn`t let your parents about him. you should wait a while before you let them know. tell them when they`re in a good mood. good luck ! =]

People use the term "love" so loosely these days it's pathetic. Love is not what you think it is. You're not even best friends and you love him??? How can that be??
I think your parents love you more than you think that they're willing to physically rough up or scare would-be users of you. Concentrate on your studies, that's more important for you right now. You can have friends but be careful on how you use the term love...because what you have is not love. In 10 years you'll have a better understanding of what love and the responsibility of it really means.

Parents that beat up kids:I would not want to date you,because of your idiot parents,who told them it is ok to beat up a minor?
No,girl I would lay low,before you know it they beat him up too.Ask dr Phill for advise.
And about the guy,just ask him out for :a movie,a match,go swimming etc.And explain yourself to him,honesty and being direct works best.Succes:Robbie.

I guess he doesn't want your parent to do to him what they did to the other guy. If you still insist on having him, approach him and express you feeling for him but you have to assure him that you parent will not be a threat to him.

He's probably afraid of your parents. Did they get arrested for assault? He probably doesn't want to get involved in such a dysfunctional family.
