18 to the day before your 42 birthday. I'm not sure if 17 year old's can still enlist with a parents permission. This pertains to first time enlistees. You can join the reserves at an older age if your combined prior service and the time you need to get 20 yrs service do not take you past your 60th birthday. There is an upper limit to prior service age> I think it is 45

Enlisting you have to be at least 17 and the oldest to enlist is 46.
