I personally feel its just a show of strength and military progress to the world as N Korea are still stuck in the 1960's with the belief that communism can work. They are an isolationist state unable to communicate with the world because of their paranioa and outdated government ethos.

One problem which may occur is that i dont think the USA will leave N Korea alone now. What needs to happen in my opinion is that Japan, China, Russia and the USA all need to agree on what needs to be done.

The USA went AGAINST the UN and attack Iraq anyways and that's' leadership by example, others will do the same and WE (the USA) can't say anything about it.

WE need to stay OUT of it and let others do the work on this one because we may find out that we are biting off more then we can chew so to speak, and I don't trust any of those countries over there if we were sucked into a war with N. Korea, they might all turn on the USA, we ave had a go around with them all in the past and the USA must learn to STOP trying to police the World. Maybe try to fix everything right here, concentrate on creating a health care system that covers all families here, along with many other things that need fixing right here in the USA.

The countries in that region namely Japan and South Korea are playing it cool at the moment. But IMHO, sanctions on N Korea are unavoidable and imminent. The US too will push for a resolution in the Security Council besides imposing sanctions of their own. Russia and China would probably be under pressure now. They can't hold on to protecting N Korea for much longer.
All said and done, it's the N Korea people who would suffer the most when the sanctions come into effect.

The main problem is that North Korea can tell their people that horsesh*t is melons and they will believe it. It would be relatively simple to convince these poor deluded b*st*rds that they need to lob a nuke into Japan or Australia. However with China opposed to NK's position, there remains a chance of negotiation. There is also the chance that the west can buy its way out. A robust response such as sanctions or military action would only result in a lot of starving NKs who, let's face it, are the mentally ill of the east.

1. First N.Korea is not Oil rich Country and already the people are suffering because of Kim's regime. So any sanctions will not have any further impact on them. Already the poor people are starving. So Bush right now need not bother about it.
2.China's position will be delicate due to Nuc Test. Because N.Korea is getting some aides only from China. China never Wants unified Korea. It knows it will be very danger for China's authority on ASEAN countries. So it will try to put some fire. The Nuc Test also due to that only.
3. South Korea , Japan not worried because they know that N.Korea right now doesn't have any stock pills . It exposed in its under ground test itself.
4.On whole nuclear proliferation started by stupid and inhuman country. Who is the black sheep ??

The North Koreans who, like Saddam Hussein's Iraq, have already been accused by President Bush of being part of an 'axis of evil'.

Warmonger Bush will be itching to do something about this as he can't leave anything alone. The USA falls heavily on any country that they suspect of having weapons of mass destruction. What will they do to any country that has these weapons and are prepared to carry out nuclear tests against the UN's pleas.

We are getting closer to nuclear war and Bush will be the first to call the shots and fire the missiles and then hide in a bunker to protect himself.

I think that North Korea will be watched but largely ignored because the main focus for the USA is the middle east so they are more concerned about Iran.

Knock Knock The Matrix has you...

Please wake up - the political world, although it affects everybody is really a show, in which ultimately real people are harmed and killed. Those at the top are friends, as you cannot play war games with enemies...

Neither side care about loosing a few pawns - as the pawns are not the people at the top...

The UN is dealing with this issue. The Security Council, which includes The Chinese People's Republic [CHINA] will doubtless make a press statement soon. You could try the UN press releases web page.

I think other supposed super powers should sort this problem out. If the USA goes in they'll only be accused of trying to take over the world. Its time other countries started to take responsibility. That includes our european silent partners.
