Never ever date the ex of your brother/sister. I think that causes too many problems. Your family is more important than any ex lover of your brother/sister

Although one may feel morally wrong with a sense of betrayal to his/her sister/brother, one should also ask themselves, is this person the one. I mean this person may actually be the true love of your life. Just because your brother/sister jumped first & hooked up with this person or was in a particular situation where they meet first - should this really be enough to possibly stopping you having true happiness for the rest of your life? And if you did happened to meet your true soul mate, should your brother/sister try & stop you, or hate you? Or should they actually congratulate you? Ok maybe not in the short term. If my brother did that, & I knew that person truely made them happy, I wouldn't want it any other way. I would feel initial hurt but if this person was not right for me, but turned out to be right for him, why should I not want them to have happiness? Sometimes if you love someone, you may have to let them go...

I hate my brothers ex, so NO WAY !
But generally...it depends on a few things :
1. If you have a very bad relation to your brother / sister, sure, go ahead !
2. If you have a good relation to your brother / sister you have to imagine that if you fall in love with his / her ex you will have to tell about it some day. If the split up with your brother / sister was a steamy fight I definitely wouldn't do it. If they split up in a friendly way it could be OK.

No i would not date my sister's ex. It is like against some unwritten law to do that, and alot of people's feelings would get hurt in the process anyway.

NO! For example, I respect my sister. She is still friends with her ex.
It would be like having left-overs. I just can't see myself stooping as low as to take up an offer like that. And it would be weird.

No, it's called respect.
There are so many other men/women in the world why limit yourself to your brother/sister leftovers?

thats tricky, if it was my sister i would talk to her but to know she would have gone through all the same things.... would be weird. it depends what kind of reletionship they had, if it was a silly teen "going out" it may be ok but if they had a "relationship" and were in "love" i think its a no. talk to them
