i think there's no symptom for g.i. bleeding which is subjective... but there are signs which are objectively seen..like when there's bleeding in the upper part of the g.i. the stool would appear black , and for bleeding at the lower part of the g.i. the stool would have obvious red blood stains.. or from the microscopic perspective theres a positive occult blood test, wherein your stool is being examined by med techs for g.i. bleeding..hope this got it!.. ciao! ;p

Bloody or black tarry bowel movements, vomiting blood or coffee ground looking material, maybe abdominal pain. If a GI bleed has caused anemia, signs could be weakness and fatigue, shortness of breath, dizziness, pale looking skin, possible heart palpitations or even chest pain if a lot of blood has been lost. If you think you have a GI bleed, please get to your doctor asap.

black tarry stools...extremely foul smeelling btw
vomitting something akin to coffee grounds
if those haven't happened yet but you're internally bleeding pretty good then you may start getting a weak but rapid pulse....
diaphoretic skin (sweaty) is another sign
