somehow i ended up at a gay night club with some friends on saturday night and found myself chatting to a very attractive female.
after a lot of flirting we started kissing, but unfortunately there seemed to be a little bit of confusion. i wrongly assumed she was straight, and she wrongly assumed i wasn't, presumably because we were in a gay club.
it later transpired that she was flirting etc. because i looked cute and she likes kissing gay guys because there's no strings attached, and er.. i just wanted to kiss her because she was really cute....
at the end of the night we discovered the confusion, but still exchanged phone numbers etc.... but realistically, is it worth pursuing, or should I just write it off?
I guess the other part of the dilemma is that as a heterosexual male, the concept and possibilities involved in dating a lesbian even for a short while seem quite appealing…
advice please…

okay, so i've called the girl and unfortunately been told that 'yes' she is lesbian and 'no' she doesn't like guys.... the flirting was because she thought i looked cute and the kissing was because her girlfriend is away, and apparently its 'not cheating' if she kisses what she thinks is a gay guy, as they'll be no attraction... unfortunately it seems it was all alcohol fueled... :-(
i think c'est la vie sums this up quite well.... on the upside however, she did say i was the best non-female kisser she's ever had and for 24hrs i was the closest i'm probably ever going to come to having all my dreams come true .... so hey, i can't be all bad...

If you think about it ... why would a lesbian be kissing a guy ... I suspect that your friend is bisexual rather than a lesbian. Friends of mine who are gay would not consider kissing a bloke, in fact they find it repulsive. So the typical male fantasy is incorrect unless they just want to watch ...
Realistically ... your friend has said that she wants no strings with a male, the fact that she has given you her phone number (presuming that its a real one) says that she would like to stay in touch. perhaps if you stay just friends and not apply any pressure for a relationship then something may develop eventually.
It sounds as though she may have had a bad male-female relationship in the past that has made her 'guy shy' the only way you can find out if men are permanently out of the picture is to stick around for a while and become a friend.

Trust me!!!! DO NOT GO THERE. I know about 20 gay people, i go raving with them too, its a laugh, but if the girl is gay, she dont wanna be with a guy i am telling you. Sexually, she will be getting it better than you will ever be able to give it to her, a girl knows a girls body better than a man does after all! So, emotionally, she is also tied up,she has interests in WOMEN. She will only be offish with you, when you go out and get slightly intoxicated, people do things, cause it just feels right at the time. She has friends all around her and they know she is gay, her friends are more than likely to be mostly gay, so i dont think she is about to change her lifestyle for a person she kissed at a club. She just wont. And you will end up geting more frustraited and its not worth it. goodluck though, (",)

why not? there is nothing wrong with a guy having a relationship with a girl. well she told you that she likes kissing gays coz there are no strings attached. you can work on that info if you want to pursue her. can you consider her a lesbian if she likes gays? i thought lesbians are girls who go for girls too. you did not write that part in the question that she prefers girls.

straight guy + lesbian girl = trouble, not to mention drama
leave her be for the carpet licker that she is
Of course all the dudes will tell you otherwise. But fantasy does not equal reality.

If you are both comfortable with each other. And there are no expectations. Then go for it. If nothing else you could end up being friends. And I believe we can never have enough friends in our lives.
Good luck.
