The Unpardonable Sin is DENYING who JESUS IS.
Two ways to commit it.
Baby Christians CANNOT commit the Unpardonable Sin.
1. Never get Born-Again (deny who Jesus Is)
2. Get Born-Again, filled with the Spirit, go way up in the Faith Walk (to a Point high enough in the Lord to be ABLE TO COMMIT IT). then, WALK away from Jesus FOR GOOD, and KNOW what you are doing. Baby Christians cannot even commit this sin.

Now,Speaking against the Holy Ghost will not be Forgiven in this Generation, so if you HAVE Spoken against HIM, when you Get to Heaven, you will lose Rewards and Honors untill the NEXT Generation, where you will be Forgiven then.

the "unpardonable sin" is also known as "blasphemy against the Holy Spirit." Wayne Grudem in his Systematic Theology defines blasphemy against the Holy Spirit as "the unusually malicious, willful rejection and slander against the Holy Spirit's work attesting to Christ, and attributing that work to Satan." The idea of a sin so heinous it could not be pardoned is taken from several passages of Scripture (Matt. 12: 31-32; Mk. 3: 29-30; Lk. 12: 10; Heb. 6: 4-6; cf. 10: 26-27; 1 Jn. 5: 16-17).
It appears that the "unpardonable sin" consists NOT in doubting the truth about Jesus, nor of simple unbelief.

Rather, the unpardonable sin involves a hard-hearted denial or contradiction of the truth concerning Jesus despite the conviction of one's own mind that it is the truth. To illustrate:

The Pharisees had witnessed Jesus' miracles and works repeatedly. The miracles themselves attested to the authority and mission of Jesus. When Jesus healed a demon-possessed man in clear demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit, the Pharisees willfully rejected Jesus' authority and attributed the miracle itself to the devil (Matt. 12:22-24). Now to this kind of willfull hard-heartedness, there is no forgiveness for how can there be? If the demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit to heal, kick out demons, raise the dead is not enough for these Pharisees to acknowledge that God is in Christ, what else is there? The Spirit's testimony cannot be improved upon. The Pharisees have put themselves beyond God's ordinary means of bringing people to repentance and faith.

Hope this helps.

Never accepting the gift of salvation, which in turn welcomes the Spirit into your life, is the only unpardonable sin. It's in effect denying the Holy Spirit, and sinning against Him. But if you are truly saved, and born again, you do not have to worry about this particular sin.

“Blasphemy against the spirit.” is stated to be the unforgivable sin. (Mt 12:31; Mr 3:28, 29; Lu 12:10) Blasphemy is shown to originate within one’s heart (Mt 15:19; Mr 7:21, 22); hence the heart condition, manifest in the willfulness involved, must relate to such blasphemy against the spirit. The incident that led to Jesus’ statement concerning the unpardonableness of such sin demonstrates that it refers to opposing the operation of God’s spirit. This would not be because of deception, human weakness, or imperfection; but the opposition would be willful and deliberate. The Pharisees clearly saw God’s spirit at work in Jesus to accomplish good, yet for selfish reasons they opposed him. Judas also sinned against the Spirit when betraying Jesus as his was a deliberate act foe he Knew Jesus was the Christ.

Blasphemy against the Spirit
- Therefore, I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven (Matthew 12:31)

Is the sin of attributing to Satan
- But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "This man drives out demons only by the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons." (Matthew 12:24)

What is the work of the Spirit of God
- But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. (Matthew 12:28)

We really do not know why Jesus said this sin is unforgivable.

With love in Christ.

I'm not sure what it is but you can't do it if the Holy Spirit resides in you.I believe you can grieve the Holy Spirit by refusing over & over to accept Christ as Savior. and the word says My spirit will not always strive with man. seek Him while He can be found. Today is the day of salvation.

BLASPHEMY THE HOLY GHOST.
SAYING ANYTHING EVIL ABOUT THE HOLY GHOST.
YOU CAN NEVER BE FORGIVEN IF YOU SPECK EVIL OR SAY EVIL THINGS ABOUT THE HOLY GHOST.
IT IS BETTER NEVER TO TALK ABOUT THE HOLY GHOST IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HIM.

I've heard some say that saying Jesus was the devil is in the "unforgivable" category,

personally I don't think it would make any sense for any sin to be unforgivable if you truly repent for it.
