I thought that I had found "The One" previously in my life, but that failed miserably. I know that I am only 22 and still young... sometimes I just think too far ahead in my life, and I was just wondering if I will ever find that one person that will make everything better... and take all my pain away...

I'm sorry you're in pain, but there's hope! : )
When you find THE ONE, you'll find yourself constantly comparing everyone else to her.
You'll think "Anne's hair is prettier than hers." or "Anne's eyes are bluer than hers."
You'll even compare how one girl walks or laughs in comparison to the girl you love.
The ONE might be your friend first. Maybe a co-worker, an acquaintance, it could be anyone you really really like and you just don't know you love her yet. Love takes time.
If you think you'll still like looking at her in 30 years and you'll still like the kind of person she is, then she's the ONE!
She's out there . . . you'll find her.
Good Luck. : )

There isn't one, per se. There can be one now, one five years from now, one five years ago, or one always, and so on. I found "the one" seven years ago, but it didn't work out. I have "the one" right now, but I don't know if it will last forever. I know he is the only one I want, but you never know what can happen. You will know if it is the right one for you. Don't fret if you think you find the one and it doesn't last always. No one ever said we could only have one of "the one." I never thought I would find a great love after my ex and now I found one that turned out to be even greater. Open you heart and live in the moment.

NO person can make everything better and take all your pain away. I had this misconception too in my early 20s. If you're not happy being yourself you will not be happy in a relationship.

That being said I think you have to "kiss some frogs before you find your prince." Unfortunately it took dating losers for me to truly appreciate my soulmate when I finally found him in my late 20s.

You will meet a person like that. I did and I'm only 17. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I know I am really young and so is he but he has already asked if it was ok that next year we get married. He asked my parents and my grandparents if it was ok. He asked everyone that we both knew what they thought of it!

Be patient because being desperate to meet the one will make you make mistakes as you may end up with Miss Wrong.

Be yourself and give it time. The same way you're feeling is the same way millions of other unmarried people feel. Sprirituality is another way of achieving your goals through faith and prayer.
