Raw honey works incredibly well because not only is it natural, but it has anti-bacterial properties that works just as good and probably better than any lab-made cream in the market. I Highly recommend honey facial masks.

Anyone have any good 'recipes' for homemade beauty treatments?

Apple cider vinegar makes a great hair rinse, and can help with scalp problems too. For a great scalp and hair treatment mix olive oil with some herbs like rosemary, mint, cammomile, lavender and maybe even some nettles. Rub into scalp and hair and leave it for about 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse it all out and shampoo your hair. Pour over some cider vinegar and leave it for a few minutes before rinsing for beautifully glossy and shiny hair and a revitalised scalp.

Be very careful not to get any vinegar in your eyes, and don't worry if there's a vinegar smell when your hair is still wet, it WILL go away once it's dry!

Olive oil - a store cupboard standard and a boon to people with dry skin (I used it on my baby's dry legs when she was born), and those whose hair needs an overnight treat. Also great in case you run out of hand cream! Why do you think all those Mediterranean beauties have such gorgeous skin and hair?

To tighten and cleanse pores:Apply to nose, forehead, and chin any leftover bits of cooked oatmeal from the pot. Allow it to dry (it will feel tight on your skin, and then wash off thoroughly using a toner afterwards.

You can even do this whilst sitting at the table eating your oatmeal. By the time you've finished eating, your facial mask is ready to be washed off.

Oats mixed with milk and honey is the perfect exfoliating body scrub!!

Basically, mix the oats with enough milk so they go slightly soggy, then add 2-3 tablespoons of honey. Then scrub away!

It actually tastes pretty good too!
