MY boyfriend lives and works in the US and is american...i'm canadian and want to get down there to work and be with him. i've been reading online to try to get a work visa...but i'm going no where. i need a person who knows what they're doing to help me out here...

simply go to USCIS.COM. they have all the options you will need. Plus each visa and an explanation about them.

Maybe that is why there are so many illegals in the US, not all of who are Mexicans. I was amazed at all the people in Los Angelas I talked with in 1998 who were working under the table illegally in Santa Monica and so on....Maybe just being there with your boyfriend and living in the US would make it easier than applying, and perhaps getting turned down from Canada. Once you are "red-flagged" after applying, it will make matter worse. There are Immigration Consultants in Canada who will want big bucks to promise you to get to the US, but they are good liars and cant promise anything.....my advise....go down for a visit, spend some time with this new guy....and see how you like the US to live in....and make sure you want to work legally and how the process works.

go and visit for a few weeks and get the feel if you really want to stay look at job availability maybe you don't want to relocate after all
