"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in the heaven above or that is in the earth beneath... Thou shalt not bow down to them or serve them..." For example, am I spending too much time on graphics for my website? Or, what's he talking about? Regarding my life?

today as then its talking about idolatry and the use of any object to worship God, many things can be idols if you plaster your bedroom wall with pictures of your favourite pop band that is also idolatry, if you put work and money before God that is idolatry and if you gorge and over eat and make it your liefs work then that too is idolatry.

As for your website graphics how much time do you spend doing them? is it idolatry I don't know you have to decide

In the time of Moses, God had led the children of Israel out of an idolatrous society, namely Egypt, and had to once again teach His people about true worship.

Idolatrous societies worship people either living or dead, animals, the sun, or any picture or statue, which represents those things. Idolatry can come in many forms, but the best definition I have heard is “an idol is anything that comes between you and God”.

In currently times, an idol could be a career, your house, money, a cherished possession, such a piece of expensive jewellery, a celebrity, etc.

God bless

For one thing, as we approach Christmas, it means focusing less on Santa Claus and other capitalistic indulgences, and more on our Lord and the blessing of His birth. I'm not saying that it's bad to give each other presents, but when it gets to the point where the only reason that children even care about Christmas is getting more material posessions it defeats the whole purpose of celebrating Christmas.
