A lot of people are ignorant and say all kinds of things that are incorrect.

Early Christians did not "mess" with the Bible. In the 300's, the Christian leaders looked at all of the writings about Jesus and about His teachings. They made a decision that was inspired by the Holy Spirit as to what writings did not contain any error. They included all of the Jewish scriptures that were considered "Scripture" at the time of Jesus and called that The Old Testament.. That has been the Bible ever since then.

When the Protestants left the Church and started their own churches, they took 7 books out of the Old Testament. The Jewish Rabbi's had done the same, but over 100 years after Jesus. The Rabbi's did that only because those 7 books were written in Greek instead of Hebrew. Other than that, the Bible has remained the same since the 300's.

The Bible is true and can be trusted because it is the word of God. Jesus often quoted the Old Testament and He called it The Word Of God. If God protected the Old Testament from Error, certainly He did the same with The New Testament. Most of it was written by Jesus apostles that lived with him the last 3 years of His earthly life.

Also, I have found from personal experience that The Bible is true.

Good question. it was not the early Christians that messed with the Bible but those at the first council. that changed which books were acceptable and which were not.
Then came King James who had Bible verses changed or removed as they bound his hands to tightly. Those books taken directly from the Torah are the ones that are called infallible & inspired.

el_tiberone,
Infallible is a word that I use to describe God. Not the Bible. So I do not say 'infallible' when describing the Bible. I use inspired though.

Balaam's a#ss was inspired, it didn't make him infallible.

Yes, I am a Protestant.
