Yes they should and I am as heterosexual as possible. ;-)

Don't infringe on the rights of others or someday others will infringe on yours.

No one is born with the right to marry or procreate for that matter. Look at the futility clinics that are around. There have always been restrictions on marriage. The insane cant marry.Blood relatives are also taboo.
If a Downs Syndrome person marries do they become" normal".
There is a distinct difference between Rights and Tolerance.
Our society still cant accept marriages between cultures or religions.
Homosexuals and Heterosexuals all already have the right to name who they want to be there medical overseer. You can will your goods to whom you wish. You can share you abode with any one.
Marriage is an institution that defines itself, one man and one woman.
Even electrical and plumbing terms relate to male and female coupling. That's not by accident.
I don't care what sex you are or want to be or were in the Past. I can work with you, ride the train with you ,shop next to you ,even live in the same neighborhood. Just stop shoving your difference in my face. Don't demand what I've had all through history. Being married couldn't make Superman walk.

whilst the guidelines have been exceeded, it replaced into with the understand-how that we've been helping a company that replaced into necessary for babies. the only public interest we had replaced into in how babies have been being raised. with out that, there is not any inherent rationalization for marriage to be "regulated by making use of the state". If we not think of that marriage is approximately babies, then we ought to get government out of the business enterprise of marriage. If marriage is a settlement, enable it is dealt with under settlement regulation. the government has no business enterprise issuing certificates that be sure that 2 human beings love one yet another. this is ludicrous. If the government is out of the marriage/civil unions business enterprise, then every person could have any ceremony they like and can sign any settlement they like and the government does not ought to choose whether such ceremonies or contracts are stunning or incorrect.

i give you a big thumbs up on this question. i do feel gay couples should have the same rights. i have and uncle who is married to 2 women( one legally and one in their eyes) and i was going to do that same thing 5 years ago but things changed. i am all for it and i am also for same sex couples being able to adopt kids. hope this opinion helps as i know it will get great negative marks from close minded ppl.

To a certain degree.

Gay civil partnerships are cool with me, but when children start to get involved, it just doesn't appear right!

When I was in school (not too long ago) I know for a fact that if there were any kids with gay parents, they would have had the p1ss ripped out of them something rotten. Also, dont they find it harder later in life to know what a heterosexual relationship is about?

Most religions consider it an abomination. However, most of them seem to have taken a back seat to the greatest God of all, 'Liberalism'. Personally I don't see what can be done to stop consenting adults doing what they want. However, to make it seem normal may be a step to far. I definitely think it's may be going to far to involve children in this situation. Probably it should be a childless union?

I suppose it all depends on how far your prepared to go to enforce the norm. What do people believe is the type of World they want to live in?

now this is a tough one. If i was a religious nut i would say no adam and eve blah blah blah, but in this day it is fine for gay men and women to get it together why not? They have the same feelings as hetrosexual couples just cause they dont have sex the same way there is no reason why we should judge them. I do not have a problem with gay couples getting married e.t.c neither should anybody else, but it doesnt work like this

Yes, have we forgot that just because their sexual preferences might not float everyone's boat, they are still human, they still love and feel.

Im not any better than anyone else purely because i find men attractive. Im not any more entitled to true love and the security of a formalisation of my commitment to another human being. Being striaght does not make be right!

It's not like it's gonig to affect you is it? You do what makes you happy and let them do what makes them happy.

Like there isnt enough bigotry and hatred in the world without people using religion - which surely should be about loving thy neighbour?? - to chastise people for doing somethign they dont want to do, or for donig something they are too scared to admit to wanting.

It has been proved now that homosexuality exists amongst other animals, including sheep and penhuins. We are all only animals ultimately

And laila, you dont get aids from anal sex, or cos your gay. straight couples can pass it on through "normal" (??) sex too

I think they should. I mean look at men and women they are divorcing left and right and having like 55 hour marriages so maybe gay men and women will set a better example. If we can do it why should they. I am going to marry the man of my dreams in may and I would hate to think the government is taking that feeling away from someone just because of there sexual orientation.

No i dont, whatever all these new age opinions say god created men and women for the procreation of the human race,he provided man with a tool to do a job,and women a place to work with it.he provided both sexes with an inlet hole for food and an exit hole for waste.it has to be wrong for the tool to be used for clearing the exit.its not only abnormal its abhorrant (sorry about the spelling)
marriage is merely there way of looking for acceptance, and we should not be giving them that.
