What does it mean when it says to hull the strawberries?

You remove the core and stem. There are gadgets for this but using a paring knife works just fine. Just below the green foilage on the strawberry is where the core is. Don't cut too deep or you'll waste your berry.

Remember one basic feature about strawberries...It is the most highly sprayed plant and fruit. Because the way it grows, insecticides are continually used during the growing period...Be sure to rinse the strawberries thoroughly before you hull them and after yo cut them up...

As you can tell, I am not a fan of commercial/store bought strawberries. Home grown is much safer and better. They are as safe as you make them. Grow the strawberries in your personal home garden and enjoy...

Remove the stem and leaves. There are special gadgets, but you can use a spoon to remove the stem and leaves attached.to the strawberries. HOPE this helps...are you blonde????
