And what is your personal reason for doing so?

Please do not think that...I am just showing respect. Forgive me if anyone misinterprets my motives for using G-d instead of....you know.

Yes.
Sometimes He talks to me.
I don't know why. Maybe I'm just deluded, but when He sends a message to me, it makes me cry for no reason whatsoever. I mean, if you read it word for word, and interpret what he says, it's just a comforting arm, a verbal hug. A lot of times He just says things like: "Don't worry." I just keep my ears open for His voice. Once you get into that habit, He can sneak up on you like a little kid playing hide and seek (but in a dignified manner). He is peace. He is joy. He is a shining beacon. He is love. He is endless.

Yes I believe in God.

As a child, I was beat up and made fun of.

Now I had shown mercy to my oppressors have not yet harmed them one inch.

So far everything that religion has told me to do, has seemed to be for me.

This sounds selfish, but that's why I'm religious.

I believe that fasting strengthens me.
I believe that all that religion teaches me is there to help guide me.

Why am I not supposed to lie?

Because If I lie once, then people will stop trusting me?

Why should I follow all of the rules that religion entails? Because it is what is good for me. Holy books are guidlines that advize me on what I should do.
They advise me. And that's all.

I believe in God because only some single Holy all powerful and all seeing God could have saved me from the pit that I once lay in.

I have been saved, and now it is my mission to save others.
NOT to convert others, but to help those in need, whatever their religion, ethnicity or sex may be.

I technically believe in god, but I do think religion is a sham. I don't believe that god created the earth and all of the inhabitants. I highly believe in evolution and the big bang theory, it just makes more sense to me. I do believe that there is something, something higher than us all, not necessarily does it have to be 'god'. Or maybe it is just my foolish hope that once we're dead, we don't just disappear. The thought of just rotting in the ground forever is unnerving. On the religion standpoint, I think it is overrated and unnecessary. I do believe that people should be able to believe in what they want and who they want with out fear. If there was no religion, the world would be a much happier place, don't you think?

i do
When we look to all of science, we can see that there is order and that there is a definite pattern to the layout and structure of not only the human body, but also the universe in which we live.
1. Does God exist? The complexity of our planet points to a deliberate Designer who not only created our universe, but sustains it today.
2. Does God exist? The human brain's complexity shows a higher intelligence behind it.
3. Does God exist? We know God exists because he pursues us. He is constantly initiating and seeking for us to come to him.

yes I do and I know that is the jewish way to right it as in YHWH for ''I am that I am''
revelation 7 seems to agree with some old testiment verses
16 They will never be hungry, neither
thirsty any more; neither will the sun beat on them, nor any
heat; 17 for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will be
their shepherd, and will guide them to living springs of waters.
God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

G-d? If you mean Gawd or God, no.

But there may be a 'Gid' who must be awesome, so awesome that the word 'giddy' came from him.

Ged is what you get if you drop out of highschool. I think those still exist, but I don't believe that is the right way to get a diploma.

If you mean GOD than no I don't believe.
Because the concept doesn't make sense and has too many flaws, it creates differences of opinion, and people use religion to hide behind instead of being responsible for themselves. (Basically, I could go on, but I'm really not that interested)

I don't believe in any form of supernatural beings.
the reason is that, in my way of thinking, believing is a form of superstition, making people behave as if something is up there, clearly an unreasonable behavior, typical of most superstitions.
