Normally hairnets are worn by people working as chefs or related to packaging of food, etc. where hygiene is the biggest concern. The idea of wearing the hairnet is that hair should not accidentally fall into the food. So, yes, all the hair must be put inside neatly.

i am quite sure if you out to eat you would prefer to eat food and not someones hair .....most places require if you hair is long that it all be covered and that is done with a hair net or a chefs hat or some places use a baseball cap with there logo on them....i have worked in places that the waitresses could wear a bunch of hair spray to keep the hair from falling in food ..but they prefered a light hair net that was unoticeable..(they make them and in colors as your hair.....its a good thing

The idea I believe is to prevent your hair from being an ingredient in whatever you are making.

yes beacause you need to wear it when your cooking beacaue a piece of your hair might fall of your head!and they might eat it

to my knowledge if you are involved in th cooking or pacakging of food that will be sold you do have to.

for examples look at chefs,bakers, fish 'n' chips shop people.
