The above message appears when I open a Word document. why?

Well, I once fixed a problem when acrobat installed some template files in the wrong directory and it was messing up both Microsoft Word and Excel. But that doesn't sound like this. Are you sure that is the EXACT phrase in the error message that is being generated? I cannot find anything about that on the forums.

What operating system are you using?
Does Word shut down after generating the message?
What version of Microsoft Word are you using?
Do you have adobe acrobat reader installed on your system?
If yes, what version of reader have you installed?
