Me and this girl i know have been having a good relationship as friends for a bit. I have known her for a couple months now, and everything has been good between us: we talked often, she trusts me with sensitive subjects, etc etc. I told her a little more than a week ago that i thought she was pretty. She took it very well and thought i was sweet. However recently she has been talking more with this guy i know. She has been doing this for about a week now. I know she doesnt like him because he came up on our conversations and she doesnt like him for several reasons. I know i haven't done anything wrong so i dont know why she is treating me differently. She doesnt talk to me as often, and whenever we all go somewhere, she walks by him more. When we talk online, she doesnt talk in the same way she did before. I havent been weird or clingy so im not sure whats up with her. Should I talk to her about it, or should i just watch what happens?

She does not "like" him. BUT, you are dangerously close to the friend zone! You made her feel uncomfortable, even though it was a compliment. Some people can't handle them. My hubby is one of them, I'm another. Don't give her direct compliments like that anymore and flirt. UNLIKE A FRIEND!!!

She likes the other guy. You took too long to make your move. You need to make sure you don't become 'the friend' in relationships with women. It is inevitably the easiest pit to fall in. I would recommend being more forceful with her and just lay your feelings on the line. tell her what you just told yahoo answers and see what she says. You may lose her as a friend but do you want that torture of wondering what the hell she is thinking and wanting in your relationship?
I think you screwed this one up though dude.

Dude, she placed you in "just Friends" status, and you attempted to push it into something else. Now she has resorted to talking to a guy she is not interested in, only to attempt to give you the hint. if you ever see not another teen movie, you'll see the guy that tried to get with the main girl in the whole movie, yeah, that's you. move on man, find another flower.

You guys are friends. If you like her, I suggest you get moving or you will lose out on her being your girlfriend. If however, you are only noticing her because another guy is on the scene, then leave things alone.

Sounds to me that she is letting you know she isn't interested in you in that way, leave her alone, don't chase after her...
