It depends on what you mean by ‘involvement’. If you mean military and/or nuclear involvement, then the answer is not necessarily, but probably (either directly or indirectly). It is hard to think of a nuclear exchange that would not directly effect our interests.

On the other hand, the would certainly be economic involvement, because even a regional nuclear war would have global financial consequences for all.

Personally, I think that if ANYONE, in any country, presses that button with malice & intent towards any other country, every country in the world that has nuclear bombs will be setting them off. That includes the US. Pretty scarey. However, if North Korea decides they're brave enough to try something, I think China and Japan will take care of the problem before we need to be involved.
