I join you in probing this question, but not specifically to Christians, to everyone. I am a muslim and sometimes I do resent some muslim responses and do not find them intellectual enough; mere hollow defense. I think we need to give our answers some thought and build them upon facts and be calm. Sometimes it is difficult because so many questions are provoking and are plain attacks, yet still, if we are true believers, we need to reflect the teachings of our religions. This, in my opinion, will be the best defense.

I agree with some of what you say. I am a Christian & love my Lord with all my heart & soul. I think when some Christians answer with hostility is because we have a passion & such love for Christ that we lash out, the same way a person would do for your own child if they were in trouble or someone said something bad about them. I guess it's a protective thing. It doesn't make it acceptable & not excuse but maybe it will help you understand it alittle better.

First of all, it is hard to say what a person is feeling emotionally with these emotionless typed words. I think that many of the answers are spoken with passion and with NO COMPROMISE to their beliefs and are interpreted as angry. I have answered many questions without an ounce of anger in me, but with passion, and had many nasty comments replied about me from non-Christians.
Also, Christians have a PERSONAL relationship with GOD. You wouldn't ask a question like this if I were defending rude or degrading remarks about my mother, or child. Why can't we feel just as passionate about the God we love and adore?
Sometimes it is just so hard to believe the assaults I see on this site regarding God and Christians, but then it is no surprise, the Bible tells us this will happen.
Give them a break, they don't know everything, but they know they love God and answer with a passion.

Peace brother,

Because the majority of so-called Christians today are not practicing true Christianity, which is following the teachings of Jesus, who was kind and loving even to people who dispised his teachings. Basically, loving thy neighbor, not just other Christians, but all humans, and thinking of them as one. A precious few of them do follow this example, and we are taught to recognize these people for their goodness, even if they are not from among our flock. However, most of them are more like the Pharisees of Jesus's time, who were a wicked people, and lacking in even the basics of what Christ taught.

Good Luck getting answers that are any where near what you are looking for. LOL Maybe you will lucky and get one of those Christians who are respectful and will answer your question with out hate.

I think most answer with hate cause they are offended that you don't believe in their god. So they don't care what the question is if you are a non-believer then they are offended.
****Please note I did not say "all" christians are like that.****

I think you are applying a bit of a broad brush approach to this. I think if you start to question anyone belief system they will tend to get defensive. Unfortunatley few have full enlightenment and many are total ignorant of the actual details of their religious beliefs so it is easier to get indignant than confess that they do not know the answer.

Yes. I have also noticed this. Many of them do not answer the question. They try to cover up the question by making some jokes, or changing the subject. i.e. they will say: "Is this a question" "You are ignorant", "Jesus Christ is love" and that's it. "Bla Bla Bla .."
and there are many other words which my tongue will not dare to say or I cannot type it here.
I hope that they will start answering politely otherwise they will force the people to stay away from their religion.

I can't speak for anyone but myself but I can't stand when I get asked stupid questions by stupid people. According to this question you are really stupid. Learn some punctuation when asking questions. If you speak the way you write they probally get frustrated cause they can't understand you.
