As far as superficial social interaction is concerned (talking to the checker at a grocery store, or a bank teller), I'm decent with that (I'm a lot better than I used to be as a matter of fact - though that's not saying much). I'm not good at connecting emotionally, though. I'm trapped inside my personal jail cell that no one can see. There's an emotional chasm in between myself and others. It's a neat little hellhole, I think.

In life you need human interaction. Its the a normal for any human being to be in contact with other people. We need interaction to keep ourselves sane. Just imagine if you dont have anybody to talk to and you leave everything in your head you will go nuts! If you find it difficult to talk to people why dont you get some help at the local YMCA? Life's to short to waste it by yourself man!

I guess so..I launched myself from New Zealand into Siberia for 12-months, & made heaps of fabulous friends.
Whilst I was doing that I discovered people back in New Zealand were missing me terribly.
Now I'm in Mexico and am making more friends.

I think my 'secret' trick is that I smile a lot which makes people want to talk to me. The next secret trick is that I really am interested in the people I meet.

I'm working on it :), you can never satisfy everybody you know, but if you keep on trying, it will limit down the chances that you'd get piss off and start a fight :)
